Thanks to the Alpine Guides of Trentino, you can experience an "adventurous" weekend in contact with nature, practising disciplines such as excursions with snow shoes, ski mountaineering, and climbing frozen waterfalls.

There is a truly special way to deeply experience the magic of winter in the mountains of Trentino: abandon the slopes to discover exciting alternatives offered by the Alpine Guides in the Let's Dolomites project which, for the first time, is now also on offer in a winter version.

Adventure professionals are waiting to accompany you with snowshoes, or mountaineering skis, to the most picturesque destinations, mountain dairies, mountain huts and panoramic peaks, to discover nature in winter time, and the most spectacular views of the Dolomites. And the most adventurous can try their hand at the adrenaline-inducing activity of climbing frozen waterfalls with picks and crampons.

The formula is a replica of the summer format - 3-day packages (from Friday to Sunday - between January and April), with 2 nights in a mountain hut or B&B, at prices starting from 390 Euro per person for half board.

You can choose from single-day excursions, to actual treks among the mountain huts using snowshoes or mountaineering skis, as well as courses in climbing frozen waterfalls. At the end, or during the outings, provision is made for lessons on nivology and safety: to learn to read a topographic map, navigate, and correctly use self-rescue tools with ARTVA, probe, and spade. All packages include the assistance of an Alpine Guide for the entire tour, any transportation, an informative kit, and evening events in the mountain huts, during which time the adventure professionals will cover the history of the surrounding places and mountains, mountaineering episodes, and aspects of Alpine culture, in addition to safety issues. The snowshoe and ski mountaineering offers are particularly complete, covering most of the Dolomites in Trentino, and the main mountain groups.

Some of the offers:

Snowshoes

Full-time snowshoe weekend excursion in the enchanted snow with the Aquile di San Martino

Three days of excursions in the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino Park: on the Castelàz Peak, along Val Venegia and on the Altopiano delle Pale.

Snowshoe excursions in the Stelvio Park with the Val di Sole Alpine Guides

Three of the most interesting routes in this valley: the "Giro delle Malghe" [Tour of the Mountain Dairies] in Val di Rabbi, Alpe Pozze and Malga Bronzolo, a truly panoramic route, and the Cimon di Bolentina.

Snowshoe excursions between the Dolomites and the Adamello with the Mountain Friends Alpine Guides - Pinzolo

Walking with snowshoes in Val Brenta to Malga Brenta Bassa and the Vallesinella Middle Waterfalls. The second day in the Malga Brenta Alta and the third at Lake Nambino, Piana di Ritorto and Malga Milegna to admire the view of the Brenta Group.

Ski Mountaineering

Three days in the Brenta Dolomites with the Madonna di Campiglio Alpine Guides

From Rifugio Graffer to Grostè, the base camp for the three-day trek. It starts with an excursion to Cima Sella and, on the third day, it ends beautifully with the ascent to Cima Roma.

Spring Ski Mountaineering with the Val di Sole Alpine Guides

The base camp is Rifugio Larcher on mount Cevedale (2608 metres) in the upper Val di Pejo. Starting from Malga Mare, the route climbs to Cima Nera before descending to Rifugio Larcher. On the second day, it heads for the Cevedale Peak, the most significant destination in the area and, on the third day, Palon de la Mare, on the Vioz-Cevedale ridge.

Ski Mountaineering in the Lagorai Group with the Mountime Alpine Guides

The base camp for a total immersion in the unique atmosphere of these mountains is Rifugio Carlettini in Val Campelle. Excursions to Col di San Giovanni, Cima Nassere and Tombolin di Caldanave from Forcella Ravetta.

Ice

Climbing Frozen Waterfalls in the Lagorai Group with the Mountime Alpine Guides

This course takes place at the frozen waterfalls in Val Malene. From the easiest ones where you can learn the moves and basic techniques, to the most challenging ones, in multiple pitches, on the third day. From 20 December to 20 March, every week from Monday to Wednesday.
