Cecilia Piazzi
Luthier / Val di Fiemme
Born in Trentino, her passion for music took her to Cremona, where starting in 1996 she attended the international Luthiery School, acquiring her diploma under the guidance of Maestro Giorgio Scolari. In 2004, also in Cremona, she opened a workshop where she made violins, violas and cellos, together with Maestro Gianluca Zanetti, inspired by the classical luthier’s art of Cremona to make mainly Stradivari type models.
Finally, in 2013, she recovered her bond with her origins, and decided to open a new workshop directly in Val di Fiemme, the land of the “Resounding forest”, where the best resonance wood comes from, the raw material selected to build her works of art.
In her tiny workshop, Cecilia builds mainly violins, appreciated throughout the world, especially by Asian musicians and collectors. She personally selects the soundboards and assembles all the parts, finally fire-branding each instrument, which is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
