Gianluca Petrella, Riccardo Onori Duo

Gianluca Petrella once again steps out on our festival’s green carpet, this time rolled out in the form of the meadows of Vallesinella Alta, before the Brenta Dolomites. He will take to the stage alongside Riccardo Onori, with whom he shares a particular kind of creativity as well as many job titles: in fact, both are composers, instrumentalists, producers and, above all, musicians unconstrained by any preconceptions.

They roam freely and with ease between jazz and electronica, pop and psychedelia, as well as more classical musical styles, all in an attempt to capture both experimentation and tradition in a richly woven process. Both artists have built up careers involving close associations with the singer Lorenzo Jovanotti and through smooth polyphonic projects such as Onori’s Sonoristan and the more recent album The Invisible Session. Echoes of Africa, on which the two collaborated together.

This is a meeting of two constantly evolving creative minds, which listeners will perceive as a fusion of simultaneously historical and contemporary musical influences. This duality allows the pair to embody the complexity of infinite worlds, capable of overcoming dichotomies and rigid ways of thinking and of tearing down barricades, starting by dispelling sensorial and mental barriers from the very first beat.

How to get there

from Madonna di Campiglio:

by shuttle (for a charge) or by car during the hours when this is permitted (book your place at the parking area here www.pnab.it) to reach the Rifugio Vallesinella mountain hut, before continuing along the Cascate Alte trail

On the way back, we recommend taking trail no. 382 as far as the Rifugio Vallesinella lodge before continuing towards Madonna di Campiglio

on foot from the village, take via Vallesinella and follow the signs for the path of "Arciduca", passing through the Cascate di Mezzo, the Vallesinella Refuge up to Malga Vallesinella Alta passing through the high waterfalls.

 3.00 h walking time, altitude change: 300 meters, difficulty level E

go up with the Spinale cable car, from the top station of the Spinale cable car, head first towards Malga Fevri and then towards Malga Vallesinella Alta.

1.45 of walking time, altitude change downhill 300 m, difficulty E

* The Bear path (C52) is open for those who want to reach Vallesinella or Fevri while it is closed in the stretch that continues towards Vallesinella Alta.

Route: from Madonna di Campiglio, follow the Sentiero dell’Arciduca trail, passing by the Cascate di Mezzo falls and the Rifugio Vallesinella lodge before arriving at Malga Vallesinella Alta, passing the upper falls.
