Manghen Pass Hike

Manghen Pass Hike

Itinerary
Park your car near the small capital a few meters before Ponte Stue and follow forest path no. 318 on the left of the Stue stream - you simply cannot miss it. The path winds its way through an arresting forest of Norway spruce. An hour's walk will take you to the clearing which houses Malga Stue Bassa at 1400 m. From here, you will be able to catch a glimpse of the striking peak of Montalon. Continue travelling on the main path, ignoring all detours and walking past another Alpine farmhouse (Stue Alta). After a long walk, you will see Malga Cazorga (1845 m - closed in winter): our final destination. The effort of the hike is amply repaid here by the solitary and outstandingly beautiful landscape, overlooked by the colossus of Cima Stellune, towering at the head of the valley.
