Vigo: a singing village!
For the traditional summer music festival, the "Rio Bianco" Choir performs a rich repertoire of popular mountain songs inspired by the grandiose Alpine landscapes, glaciers, forests and legends of the Dolomites.
Every Thursday evening in Vigo, we will be able to listen to pieces skilfully performed by local choral groups, who will entertain us in an exciting concert, sure to be appreciated by valley dwellers and tourists alike. On 4 July, at 9.15 p.m., the "Rio Bianco" Choir will take the stage in the events pavilion, opposite the Hotel Vael.
The "Rio Bianco" Choir of Panchià was founded in 1995 and is directed by Maestro Ivo Brigadoi, a cellist from Predazzo. It consists of around thirty elements: soprano, contralto, tenor, baritone and bass voices. A mixed ensemble is quite unusual for folk singing and, in fact, it is the only case in Val di Fiemme and one of the few in the whole of Trentino. The repertoire is the classic mountain repertoire, with openings to pieces typical of other regions. On the other hand, singing allows one to approach different cultures, both Italian and foreign.
