Please note that the practicability of the itineraries in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the contingent conditions and is therefore influenced by natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this page may have changed. Before leaving for a tour, make sure the path you will approach is still accessible by contacting the owner of the mountain hut, the alpine guides or the visitor centres of the nature parks, the info offices of the local tourist board.

Turn-by-turn directions

A forest dirt road closed to traffic, with alternating flat and gently sloping stretches.
The route starts at Passo San Pellegrino, at the car park situated below Rifugio Miralago. In short, there is a road barrier (which you can bypass in a wheelchair) that leads to a larch and spruce wood along a well-kept, fine gravel road, signposted no.607. After an area where several benches are located, the road begins to climb up to Località Pecol. At Località Garghele, you pass by a cluster of highly characteristic old barns. Then continue through the meadows, going past other groups of farmhouses and barns (Località La Regola, Sbrinz) through the splendid "amphitheatre of the Dolomites", as far as the mountain refuge.

Getting there

Even though there are no steps, wheelchair access to Rifugio Fuciade is limited due to the restricted space inside. The toilet facilities are not wheelchair accessible, as they are on the floor below.
