A circular itinerary with your bike but also hiking (if you return on the same route). The watchword is "to taste": views, company, nature, tradition and food & wine excellences of the Cembra Valley. Starting from Lisignago, where you can already make the first small detour and visit the church of S. Leonardo, follow the streets along the terraced vineyards of the valley towards Cembra. Here you can taste different local products, from meats to wines, from vinegar to grappas and visit the old town center, where certainly you should stop and visit the church of San Pietro. The way back will be a relaxing descent, following the main road that goes back to Lisignago.

Author’s recommendation

We advise you to check opening hours of the agriturismus and restaurants and to make a reservation. Among the points of interest we point out the church of S. Leonardo in Lisignago, the church of San Pietro in Cembra and for animal lovers the Silpaca breeding in Cembra.

The itinerary starts from the town of Lisignago, near the main church where you can leave your car. From here it is possible, with a short detour, to reach the church of San Leonardo. Following the secondary roads that cross the vineyards, without too many differences in height, you reach the Maso Besleri vinegar factory. From here, after a climb, you reach the town of Cembra where you can find various food and wine stops, first of all the Zanotelli winery and the butcher of the same name. Following the main road you reach Cembra Cantina di Montagna winery and from here a short detour into the old town center in is possible, where you will reach also the the majestic church of San Pietro. Following the secondary roads you can encounter the various restaurants, untill you reach the agritur alle Cavade and the underlying Cantina Pelz. For those who wish, from here it is possible to make a detour in the magnificent terraced vineyards and apple orchards and visit the Silpaca breeding and farm. The return is on the provincial road to Lisignago or, for those who prefer, on the same outward route.
