The beautiful location called “Larezila”, slightly downhill from the ridge of Passo Lusia, can be conveniently reached by car along the forest road (which is quite steep so it is advisable to use vehicles that are not too low); a four-wheel drive is the most suitable choice. You can also reach the Rifugio Rezila by a convenient trail (No. 625) starting from the station above the “Lusia” ski lifts (Rifugio Valbona). This is a good alternative if you prefer not to use a car.

The route connects the charming Rifugio Rezila with the great meadow of Malga Colvere, via a short forest path (trail No. 625) which is very quiet and cool since it runs through a thick conifer forest. The trek is ideal for families with small children riding in pushchairs (pushchairs cannot be used if you use the ski lifts in the part of the trail between Rif. Valbona and Rif. Rezila).

Author’s recommendation

The “Larezila” locality, which is the start point of the route, is easy to reach by car along the forest road, which however is quite steep so it is advisable to use vehicles which are not too low; a four-wheel drive is the most suitable choice (you can get information about the road conditions from Rifugio Rezila). You can also reach Rifugio Rezila along a convenient trail (No. 625) starting from the station above the “Lusia” ski lifts (Rifugio Valbona). This is a good alternative if you prefer not to use the car. However, the use of pushchairs is not possible in the trail section between Rif. Valbona and Rif. Rezila.

Safety information

Please note that the practicability of the itineraries in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the contingent conditions and is therefore influenced by natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this page may have changed. Before leaving for a tour, make sure the path you will approach is still accessible by contacting the owner of the mountain hut, the alpine guides or the visitor centres of the nature parks, the info offices of the local tourist board.

Turn-by-turn directions

From Rifugio Rezila, which has a terrace with a grassy yard and playground for children, go up the forest road for a short, slightly uphill section. At the first crossroads (Prà de Larezila) turn to the left and proceed along the forest road following the indications for Malga Colvere (trail No. 625).

The trail is flat at the beginning and then goes slightly uphill, with only small differences in height. Continue along the forest road until you reach the beautiful clearing of Malga Colvere (1866 m), which is a very panoramic spot and the arrival point of this excursion.

Return over the same route. Rifugio Rezila is a good rest stop along the way.

Getting there

Take SS48 Valli di Fiemme e Fassa national road to Moena. Follow the road with the indications Passo San Pellegrino - Falcade. After about 2 km past Moena, turn to the right into the small road, which is tarmac for a length, with the indication Rifugio Rezila – Passo Lusia. The road thenbecomes dirt and quite steep so it is advisable to use a vehicle which is not too low; a four-wheel drive is the most suitable choice (you can get information about the road conditions directly from Rifugio Rezila).

You can also reach Rifugio Rezila by a convenient trail (No. 625) starting from the station above the “Lusia” ski lifts (Rifugio Valbona). However, the use of pushchairs is not possible in the trail section between Rif. Valbona and Rif. Rezila.
