From Segonzano to Palù del Fersina along E5.
Section of the European Trail that crosses the Piné Plateau and continues in the direction of Venice.
A section of the European E5 trail that cuts through the Piné Plateau, an area beloved for the presence of its many alpine lakes, small villages, lush forests and pastures where the animals of the alpine pasture are fed and thanks to which the fragrant and tasty local cheeses are produced. The itinerary starts from Segonzano, where it passes the famous site of the Earth Pyramids of Segonzano from above, and reaches the panoramic hamlet of Bedollo, which affords a breathtaking view of the pinewood lakes. From the hamlet of Centrale it then ascends to the Redebus Pass, which connects the plateau to the nearby Mocheni Valley.
From Centrale di Bedollo, a hamlet crossed by the trail, one can deviate from the path by taking the lakes bike path and reach in a couple of hours the hamlet of Brusago where there is the small but characteristic Buse Lake (see the alternative route Bedollo-Brusago-Malga Stramaiolo-Passo del Redebus). Also from Centrale, going in the opposite direction in about half an hour's walk, you can reach the hamlet of Piazze, where you can visit the botanical garden of Apicoltura Gocce D'oro.
