From S. Anna to the Redentore

A short walk that allows two sanctuaries to be united in a single route, while at the same time allowing you to explore the most historic street in the village of Montagnaga, and then enjoy a breathtaking panorama at the Sanctuary of the Redeemer.

Two sanctuaries, a single street, the most historic in Montagnaga, these are the basic ingredients for this simple but evocative walk. A linear route that entirely follows via Domenica Targa, dedicated to the humble shepherdess to whom the Madonna appeared five times between 1729 and 1730.Passing through the town, one reaches the Sanctuary of the Redeemer, where the view is nothing short of breathtaking, overlooking the Valsugana and then gazing in the distance at the mountains that guard the Trentino capital. Next to the Santuario del Redentore, it is also worth visiting the adjacent meadow, as well as the suggestive 'Comparsa' basin with the bronze monument commemorating the episode of the first apparition. It is a much-visited place in every season of the year, suggestive both for the forest that surrounds it and for the atmosphere of silence and peace that one breathes there.
