Bocchette Centrali route

Bocchette Centrali route

A magnificent path that, starting from Bocca di Brenta (2,552 m), arrives at Vedretta degli Sfulmini. It was set on a series of ledge systems in the middle of the face on both sides of the Sfulmini chain. The work done on the rock, together with ladders and metal ropes, make the trail safe and quite easy even where the verticality is breathtaking. Start from Rifugio Pedrotti and, once past Bocca di Brenta, take the Gottstein path up to Bocchetta del Campanil Basso (2,600 m). This section of the route is characterized by steps, metal ropes and small bridges made out of boards over a vertical drop of about 150 metres, and crosses the whole western face of Brenta Alta. Starting from the Bocchetta del Campanil Basso the path changes its name to Castelli path, moves to the eastern side of the Sfulmini chain and gets to the Sentinella. From there, following the "de Stanchina" and "Figari" paths through ledge systems over vertiginous peaks, you arrive at Bocca degli Armi and then descend to the Vedretta degli Sfulmini and reach Rifugio Alimonta (2,591 m).
