Bocchette Alte route
A challenging ferrata with remarkable exposure, requiring good athletic training. Use of karabiners, harness, ice axe. Magnificent aerial route that, starting below Cima Molveno, goes past the Spallone dei Massodi, crosses the Garbari ledge on Cima Brenta and then descends to Bocca di Tuckett. From Rifugio Alimonta (2,580 m), start on the Quintavalle path, climbing the detrital terraces of Cima Molveno, and then descend to Bocchetta Bassa dei Massodi (2,790 m) from where, turning left, you reach the junction with the Detassis path. Continue on the Coggiola path, reaching over little steps and ledges the summit esplanade of the Spallone dei Massodi (2,999 m). Go down the vertical "Scala degli Amici" to arrive shortly afterwards at Bocchetta Alta dei Massodi and, via an exposed and panoramic route, to the Spalla Sud of Cima Brenta. Here starts the Foresti path, which crosses the Eastern face of Cima Brenta, first over narrow ledges and small snowy channels, and then over the large detrital ledge called Cengia Garbari and the north shoulder of Cima Brenta. From here, descend the Pedrotti path on rocky crags to Bocca di Tuckett (2,648 m). From Bocca di Tuckett, go down without further difficulties to Rifugio Tuckett (alternatively, through the Val Perse to Rifugio Croz dell´Altissimo and from here to Molveno).
