Dei Forti (Forts) Trekking Pathway
The FortsTrekking pathway makes it possible to visit the seven Austro-Hungarian forts in the plateau of Folgaria, Lavarone and Luserna (1915 - 1918, First World War), the most interesting of which is the Fort-Museum Geshwent Belvedere in Lavarone
Extending over a length of about 70 km (the entire route takes about 5 days to complete) it passes through these Austro-Hungarian forts: Dosso del Sommo (Werk Serrada), Sommo alto, Cherle, Lusern, Busa Verle and Cima Vézzena.
On this pathway you can also see the military cemeteries of Folgaria, Costalta and Slaghenaufi, the mount Rust visual connection Station, the mysterious Scala dell'Imperatore (the Emperor's Staircase) and the ruins of what used to be the tactical command centre set up in the very deep Virti gorge.
This trekking pathway offers wide panoramic views over the surrounding mountain massifs.
