Between Black and White
From Pampeago (1557 m), climbing the grass carpeted ski slopes, you reach first Passo Pampeago (1996 m)
Tthen you have to tackle the steep climb, always on the ski tracks and without a fixed course, which goes to the top of the Pala di Santa (2488 m), a spectacular position with views of most of the Eastern Alps. From the summit, path 574 follows the western spur of the Pala di Santa and descends the meadows of the little plateau of Passo di Lavazè (1802 m). You can also reach Passo di Pampeago using the lifts to Ganischger Alm (2010 m). From here, following the unpaved road, you reach the pass in a few minutes.
