Around the mountain dairies
From Passo Rolle you quickly reach Baita Segantini at an altitude of 2170 metres (marvellous view of Cimone and Vezzana, the highest peaks of the Pale di San Martino ), one of the most famous areas of the Dolomites
You go down the unpaved road (or shortcuts) to Pian della Vezzana and across it, always on the unpaved road (or shortcuts), to the right fork for Forcella Venegia (path 749). After reaching Malga Venegiotta (1824 m), you descend the pasture and then cross the Torrente Travignolo and climb the opposite slope towards Malga Juribello. Along the path called "di San Giovanni", you go through the upper part of the Paneveggio forest (famous for its fir wood used by violinmakers), where you can often note the presence of deer, and then come out on the pastures of Malga Juribello, at the foot of Castelaz. A short descent to the dairy and then you can return along the same route to Passo Rolle.
