In the Fifties the peaks of the Yosemite Valley became one of the hubs of the American countercultur. Beatnicks and homeless found their the ideal place for a lifestyle which opposed to the consumerism, practicing the art of climbing as a perfect synthesis of freedom and tension towards the infinite. A place of great challenges between different ways to see the ascents, between the bourgeois society and the search for freedom, but most of all a place of challenge with themselves. Valley Uprising narrates about fifty years of challenging the gravity by using exceptional archive materials and an involving soundtrack, giving moments of pure joy to the public. The movie, directed by Nick Rosen, won the Genziana d'oro - Premio Città di Bolzano as the best adventure and exploration movie at the Trento Film Festival in 2015.
