Uto Ughi on 10 May at the Teatro Sociale
One of the greatest Italian violinists ever, Uto Ughi, will be in concert on 10 May, at 20.30at the Teatro Sociale.
Uto Ughi will be the star of a concert organised by the Cassa di Trento as a tribute to the city; the proceeds will be devoted to support a solidarity initiative, a Paediatric Hospice project of the provincial health care service of Trento.
On this occasion Uto Ughi will be accompanied by the Orchestra I Virtuosi Italiani in a performance of The Four Seasons with Antonio Vivaldi's original Sonnets.
Maestro Ughi will read and comment on Vivaldi's sonnets preceding the performance of each concert, in order to restore the text to all its poetic quality, bringing out the musicality of the verses and that of the notes of his violin.
On the stage of the Teatro Sociale, Uto Ughi will play on a 1744 Guarneri del Gesù violin - which possesses a warm sound with a dark timbre and is perhaps one of the most beautiful 'Guarneri' instrument in existence -, and on a 1701 Stradivarius named 'Kreutzer' because it belonged to the violinist of the same name to whom Beethoven had dedicated his famous Sonata.

They approach the baroque, the classic and the contemporary not only with ease, but with a grit, an enamel and an "adrenaline" that produces life and tension without pushing beyond the limits of a wise stylistic relevance ».
Since 2011 they have been the protagonists of a Concert Season, in the Church of the Ospedale della Pietà in Venice, the place where Antonio Vivaldi played, taught and create to all his works all his life
