The first night of "Krampus"
This night is going to be both frightening and entertaining at the same time
Three hundred Krampus from Trentino and South Tyrol will take control of the usually quiet village of Predazzo, in Val di Fiemme, with whiplashes and fireworks, among the ancestral sounds of stomping hooves, horns and cowbells. Along the parade, cages with Krampus, terrifying reaper machines, infernal carts and resounding tractors.
According to Christian mythology, these demons, described as goat-men, were defeated by the bishop Saint Nicholas and obliged to serve him. Their faces are covered by horrifying masks made of wood, horns and goat hair. Their rags are ripped and worn-out.
“The first night of Krampus in Predazzo” is organized by the local group “Krampus de Fiemme Fleimstaler”, along with the group of Krampus from Aldino.
At 6 p.m. the parade will begin, reaching the main square of Predazzo. At 8 p.m. the festival will continue at the Sporting Center in Predazzo, with dancers and deejays.
For the participants, it will be the perfect opportunity to dispel all of their most atavistic fears.
The event is best suited for an adult audience.
