Tel Cher de Penìa - In the heart of Penìa
Walk with tasting of typical dishes and musical entertainment in the historic centre of Penìa di Canazei
A bunch of houses and haylofts at the foot of the Queen of the Dolomites: that’s Penìa (1,556 metri). This tiny suburb has maintained the dimensions and the poetry of mountain bucolic environment and, from 8.30 p.m., reveals its soul to the guests with a feast, "Tel cher de Penìa", Once the suns sets, through local food tastings, good music and traditional exhibitions, people stroll around the tiny roads of the centre, where houses, haylofts and even a stable that testify how Val di Fassa was in the past. Not-to-miss, also, the church dedicated to St. Sebastiano and Rocco, who is celebrated in August with a feast by the folk group "Grop de la Mèscres de Delba e Penìa" that perpetuates the ancient carnival tradition.
In case of bad weather the event will be held at 9.00 p.m. on Friday, 31th August.
