Open from spring and all summer long, the farm welcomes you with lots of activities between nature and history, discovering the animals of Lessinia Trentina, wolfs included!
Activities never stop in Malga Riondera! The organic farm is situated in an ancient cottage in the middle of Lessinia Trentina, close to the "Monti Lessini Regional Park " and the "Little Dolomites", an area full of naturalistic, ethical and architectonical aspects ; the farm organizes activities for everyone from spring till the end of summer. The building has a typical stone-roof and is situated 800 meters above sea level, in the middle of a big meadow and surrounded by the wood. What you can do by Malga Riondera • Walk in the neighbourhood to discover nature thanks to meadows and woods • Participate in the teaching farm: from May to September every Sunday afternoon from 15:00 till 18:00 • Enjoy the agricultural life: cultivation of vegetables and little fruits , beekeeping, breeding and wood-care • Discover the 3 educational-paths, winner of the "Premio Ambiente Euregio"! Spring by Malga Riondera 25th March – Spring Festival Walk to find out the first blooming, together with donkeys, collecting object to create an Easter present. In the afternoon: sliding on the snow or on the grass with the "carton sleds". 8th April – Beware of wolfs? Walking interview for everybody. Workshop "Let's try to be a wolf, sheep, donkey, dog" creating a mask of our animal-side! 22nd April – Celabrating Mother Earth For the "Earth Day 2018" we will try to be a tree: walking through the wood we will recognize many types of trees and animals, also thanks to legends and tales. The Italian Alpine troops will teach you how to climb on the rock and on the slack-lines. 1st May – Historical walks Walk from Ala old-town, through "S. Pietro in Bosco" Church, up to "Valfredda" telling the climb of the Savoy Army , till Malga Malga Riondera, remembering the Colonization of Lessinia and observing the trenches of the Great War; way-back: walk to Masi d'Avio and through the cycle-path, or by train from Avio Train Station. 20th May – Let's try to become a bee! Tales and interactive games to learn more about bees: how do they communicate each other? The bee-dance. Workshop: creating with bee-wax. 3rd June – Let's try to be a donkey! Activities to learn more about donkeys: Baba, Nello and Oreste. Learn how to prepare a packsaddle on a donkey and little trekking. Back to Malga Riondera and visit to the farmhouse and its animals. 17th June – Let's try to become a bee! Tales and interactive games to learn more about bees: how do they multiply? The bee- swarming. Workshop: creating with bee-wax Summer by Malga Riondera 2nd July – Beware of wolfs? Walking interview for everybody. Workshop "Let's try to be a wolf, sheep, donkey, dog" creating a mask of our animal-side! 13th-14th-15th July – History and prehistory Thanks to a recent prehistoric discovery in the "Lessinia Trentina" area, there will be the chance to visit the archeologic sites learning something more about prehistoric man and his life. In association with the event "ala, the velvet town" 28th and 29th July – Laziness and relax for a weekend Re-discover laziness observing natural elements and listening to Tibetan singing bowls. You will experience relax thanks to water, air, earth and fire. In the evening: hay-bath listening to Tibetan singing bowls receiving a Californian massage (for odults). 15/08 – Let's melt by Malga Riondera Music and folk dancing with the Association "Danzare la pace".
