Soul steps... beyond the peaks
Exhibition dedicated to the great alpinist Fabio Stedile
The theatre Navalge in Moena hosts the exhibition "Fabio Stedile... passi dell’anima oltre le vette" (Soul steps... beyond the peaks), dedicated to the local alpine guide who died in 1994, aged 34, during an expedition on the Cerro Terro, in Patagonia. The exhibition narrates some of his main achievements: the conquest of the Makalù at the age of 24 years (he has been the youngest Italian alpinists to climb an 8000 m peak) and the passing of the Amazonia's, by bike along 2,500 kilometres with his friend and colleague Michele Busacchi. The exhibition is the result of a long selection made by Erica Valenti among 8,900 pictures, given by Fabio Stedile's family to the SAT (Trentino Alpinists association) library. In collaboration with the SAT section of Moena, the Alpine Training Centre of the Police, the Biblioteca Montagna SAT and the Municipality of Moena. After the inauguration taking place on August 1st, at 5.30 p.m., the exhibition will be open until August 21st.
Opening times: from Tuesday to Sunday 10.00 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. - 7.00 p.m. Free entry.
