The season of snowmobiles, competing every year in the National Championship organised by the FMI (Federazione Motociclistica Italiana), starts in winter, when the two wheels "rest". Still unknown in Italy, the snowcross - the winter version of motocross - is becoming more and more famous in Northern America and Europe. It deals with competing on a snowmobile on a slope with bumps, jumps and bends. In the week-end between 15th and 17th March, in the area next to the soccer field in Moena, at the entrance of the village, a numerous group of professional pilots will compete to conquer the top step of the podium.
