Jesse Davis is one of the most popular saxophonists in the United States. He began playing the saxophone at the age of 11. He studied at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts with Ellis Marsalis, revealing an extraordinary talent. He continued his studies at Northeastern Illinois University and William Patterson College in New Jersey before attending the New School in New York, where he graduated under Ira Gitler. Soon after he began playing with internationally renowned musicians, including Jack McDuff, Major Holley, Cecil Payne, Illinois Jacquet, Chico Hamilton, Junior Mance, Kenny Barron, Cedar Walton, Nicholas Payton and Roy Hargrove.
In 1996 he participated in the tour "Sax Machine" alongside Phil Woods, Charles McPherson and Gary Bartz. Winner of countless prizes and awards, he also achieved notoriety as an actor in Robert Altman's film "Kansas City”. The "Penta Big Band" of the Music School "Il Pentagramma" from Tesero (Italy) "will perform as opening act.
