A project where jazz music intertwines with the legends of the Dolomites, becoming the voice of some female figures of tradition and myth.
The luminous 'hue' of the singable melodic lines dedicated to benign figures meets with the aura of mystery of witches and sorceresses to design sound environments in which jazz improvisation is called upon to dialogue with classical music and with more Latin and exotic sounds.
The listener will be led to imagine himself travelling through the amphitheatres of the 'pale mountains' in a space of meditation also on his own relationship with the mountain environment.
The listener will be enveloped in the cultural message that these women have tried to convey, a lesson on love and respect for the rhythms of life imposed by the mountains and the manifestations of nature. Serena Marchi - composition and arrangement of the songs - has tried to restore the original image of eight women who, although linked to mythology, can still serve as an example for girls in the western world.
The project has won the Nuovo IMAIE's call for the Promotion of Live Music Projects 2022/2023.
The album was released on 1 March 2023 by Emme Record Label and is available on the main digital platforms.
