3 days to experience the unmistakeable flavour of the cheese Puzzone di Moena and the splendid nature of Val di Fassa

Tasteful experiences on the foot of the Dolomites in Val di Fassa. On occasion of this 9th edition, the Festival changes appearance, in the name of three days in the open air, in touch with the splendid nature of the Dolomites in Fassa, when the protagonist is once again the Puzzone di Moena DOP. The King of the cheeses in Trentino shows itself to the public together with its real creators: cheese makers and farmers, this year, will not parade in the classic "desmonteada", whilst they will open the door of their stables, cheese factories and ffairy farms to let you live authentic experiences, characteristic of the life at altitude, during one of the most beautiful months of the year, with a clean sky, the fresh air and the autumn colours starting to spread. 

The festival begins on Friday with the "Maso Tour", a cheesy experience that goes from the stable through the production to the mouth. In the afternoon is time for the "Mastro Burraio" (The Cheesemaker), to greet the cows - just returned from the alpine pastures - and to find out the secrets of mountain butter. On Saturday morning, we go up at altitude to San Pellegrino pass, to live the last day at altitude, having breakfast and taking part to the "Cheesenic" to the rhythm of music, on the shores of an alpine lake. In the afternoon you just have to choose among: putting your hands in "Trentino in un barattolo", to realise an apple and onion sauce, ideal to accompany the Puzzone di Moena DOP. If you are a real "cheese lover" instead, do not miss "I Magnifici 5", guided tasting with the producer of this famous products of the Dolomites, while the children will plunge into the world of the ants with Fabio Vettori. The soirée will go on with a touching itinerant aperitif, to fiscover the most beautiful corners of the Fairy of the Dolomites: a mix between Puzzone, the beer Birra di Fiemme and the apple juice La Trentina, throughout the local cuisine, curiosities and traditions, also narrated by the ancient wooden games that will entertain the kids. Sunday is dedicated to a healthy walk in the surounding of Moena with a gourmet trekking that starts with a fantastic breakfast at the farmhouse, followed by an inviting lunch at the mountain dairy farm and by a Michelin starred conclusion (also doable by e-bike).
