Mountain to remember - Val Minera
Commemoration of the First World War fallen in Val Minera, by Bocche area
In 1917, on 24th September, Feast of Madonna della Mercede, the soldiers of the 91st Basilicata’s regiment, built an obelisk to remember the place where more than 2000 Italian soldiers were buried. They were trying to conquer Cima Bocche.
Meeting point by Passo Lusia. At 9.00 a.m. start from Malga Bocche direction Val Minera. At 10.30 a.m. Holy Mass by the ex-military cemetery in Val Minera, with Coro Enrosadira choir of Moena. At 12.30 p.m. return to Malga Bocche and possibility of lunch. Organized by A.N.A. (Alpini national association) group of Moena.
