MARLENE KUNTZ in Trento

The band led by Cristiano Godano will take the stage at the Auditorium S. Chiara as part of Living Memory 2023, the Festival of Memory that will take place in Trento from 16 to 27 January, promoted by the Terra del Fuoco Trentino Associatiom, in collaboration with the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, the Trentino history museum foundation and the Memo Train Association. This year's event represents the beginning of a three-year journey that will lead to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camps in 2025.

Starting from a historical and cultural journey of discovery, knowledge and insight into the history of the 20th century, and in particular the tragic events of the Second World War and the holocaust, the Living Memory 2023 programme will take all participants to a meeting with some of the last witnesses of those episodes, through a kaleidoscope of activities and events.

A rich programme in which moments of listening, discussion and debate will take turns, also with the participation of artists and musicians. One of these events will feature the group Marlene Kuntz, who announced their new theatre tour only a few days ago, entitled Karma Clima, which includes a stop in Trento. Alongside the theme of environmental sustainability, the group is committed to the theme of Remembrance as a driving force of active citizenship, in collaboration with the Living Memory festival.

The group will in fact have the key role of a moment of discussion and exchange with the public - in the foyer of the Auditorium S. Chiara, at 18.00 on 21 January 2023 - on the importance of making memory and active citizenship, starting from the three artistic residences in the high mountains that they have chosen to record Karma Clima: Cooperativa di comunità Viso A Viso di Ostana, Birrificio Baladin di Piozzo and Borgata Paraloup.

Marlene Kuntz | Following the success of their autumn club tour, Marlene Kuntz's theatre tour "KARMA CLIMA" (Al-Kemi Records / Ala Bianca; distrib. Warner Music Italy / FUGA), available in digital, CD and vinyl format, will start on 22 January from Trento. The tour takes its name from the extensive project combining art and sustainability.

On stage Cristiano Godano (guitar and vocals), Riccardo Tesio (guitars), Luca 'Lagash' Saporiti (bass), Davide Arneodo (keyboards and violin) and Sergio Carnevale (drums).

Not just a concert in theatres, but a triptych: an experimental film about the mystery of time ("Becoming of the elapsed time") with images by Lorenzo Letizia and the improvisation of Marlene Kuntz, the complete performance of Karma Clima in a new theatrical dimension, a musical suite retracing some stages of the band's thirty-year journey.

Three times. Three chapters. Three points of view on music and being on a stage. Three possibilities of encounter with the languages of contemporaneity for more than two hours of music and images at each performance.
