L Stònt - Imperial Shoot Stand
Guided evening visit to the shoot stand of the "Scìzeres", the registered riflemen from Campitello, Mazzin and Canazei
Programme: free guided visit with Gabriele Valentini, local Great War passionate. In all the major villages and in every town in the old Tyrol, there was once a place where men, who were skilled in the use of firearms, practiced shooting. In Val di Fassa, the shooting station was called "Stònt": a wooden or brick structure located on the edge of the residential area and equipped with a wide opening from which it was possible to see the targets, placed at various distances. The imperial-royal municipal markmen’s lodge is the unique evidence of centuries history in the valley that still remains today: established in 1905 remained operational until the Great War broke out. Meeting point by the Markmen’s Lodge in Campitello, in the street Strèda de Pènt de Sera.
Schedule: at 9.00 p.m. (duration about 30 mins).
Reservation required by the Ladin Museum within 6.30 p.m. on the previous day.
