IV European Day of Mountain Refuges. A special event dedicated to high mountain hospitality and singing traditions
The fourth European Day of Mountain Refuges will take place in the mountains of Trentino. It is organized by Accademia della Montagna with the collaboration of SAT, the Association of Trentino Refuges, the Federation of Trentino Choirs, Trentino Marketing, the Dolomiti Unesco foundation, the organization Tavolo della Montagna and the Association of the Ski Instructors. The day will be dedicated to the mountains, to their custodians and to their singing traditions. Refuges are fundamental point of reference for excursionists, as well as important territorial and cultural guardians. At 12 p.m. of Sunday 23rd June, 9 choirs of Trentino will celebrate the Dolomites, declared Natural World Heritage by UNESCO by singing in 9 different refuges, all located in the Dolomites, turning the whole province of Trento in a huge open air concert hall. The European Day of Mountain Refuges will also be the occasion to raise awareness about the project "Rifugio Cardioprotetto", which aims at fundiraising to buy defibrillators for the refuges.

concert of the Vanoi Chorus from Canal San Bovo at Castiglioni Refuge, reachable by car at Fedaia Pass;concert of the Genzianella Chorus from Roncogno at Contrin Refuge, reachable on foot from Alba di Canazei; concert of the Piramidi di Segonzano Chorus at Fuciade Refuge, reachable on foot from San Pellegrino Pass; concert of the Valle dei Laghi Chorus from Padergnone at Gardeccia Refuge, reachable on foot from Pera or Vigo-Ciampedìe.
