Il Capitano Sora al Polo Nord (Captain Sora at the North Pole)
Exhibition at the Museo Caproni
Photographs, mementoes and works linked to expeditions to the North Pole recount the venture of the Alpini troops Captain Gennaro Sora, who participated in the mission to rescue the crew of Umberto Nobile’s Italia airship in 1928.
The exhibition has been organised by the Museo dell’Aeronautica Gianni Caproni, with the collaboration of the Museo Nazionale Storico degli Alpini on the occasion of the 91st National Assembly of Alpini troops hosted in Trento from 11 to 13 May 2018.
