Haute Route Dolomites
From Innsbruck to Venice by bike. Haute Route Dolomites, staged bike race between Austria and Italy, reaches Val di Fassa in September
Seven days by bike, from Austria to Italy. The bikers taking part in the Haute Route Dolomites, eminent bike event dedicated to non-professional runners, will depart on 2nd September from the main city of Tyrol to reach Venice on 8th September, facing 821 kilometres and 20.000 metres of altitude gap. 3 stages will put Val di Fassa in the spotlight, passing through Canazei and the Dolomites mountain passes:
- 6th September: stage 5, Bressanone-Canazei (120 km, altitude gap 3900 m). Escalades: Passo delle Erbe 1987 m / Passo Valparola 2198 m / Passo Pordoi 2239 m;
- 7th September: stage 6, Canazei-Canazei (103 km, altitude gap 3000 m). Escalades: Passo San Pellegrino 1918 m / Colle Santa Lucia 1485 m / Passo Fedaia 2057 m;
- 8th September: stage 7, final runway from Canazei to Venezia (181 km, altitude gap 2600 m). Escalades: Passo Fedaia 2057 m / Forcella Franche 992 m / Passo San Boldo 706 m.
The streets involved in the track of the race will be closed to the traffic.
Haute Route Dolomites is part of the Haute Route Cycling Series, cycling races for non-professional bikers conceived by OC Sport, international sport marketing company specialized in organizing outdoor events.
