Habsburg Carnival
During the Carnival week, Madonna di Campiglio brings to life the splendor of the Habsburg court with Princess Sissi and Emperor Franz Joseph.
PROGRAM:
SUNDAY, MARCH 2
5:30 PM: Arrival of the Court in Madonna di Campiglio (Piazza Lorenzetti and the streets of the village).
The Habsburg Court arrives in the center of Madonna di Campiglio to kick off the Carnival celebrations with music and dancing (in collaboration with Filò della Val Rendena). The arrival of the Princess and the Emperor in a carriage will be particularly special.
MONDAY, MARCH 3
From 6:00 PM: “Austrian Aperitif,” the celebrations continue in Madonna di Campiglio with Princess Sissi. Step back in time with themed aperitifs at participating bars and venues.
TUESDAY, MARCH 4
4:30 PM: Children’s Carnival at Piazza Sissi, a grand party for all children with face painting, dancing, and cotton candy at Piazza Sissi (organized by Pro Loco Madonna di Campiglio).
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5
4:00 PM: Experience "Tea with Sissi": anecdotes and stories about the Princess. Enjoy some conversation at the Salone Hofer, the prestigious party hall of the Habsburgs, with local researcher Paolo Luconi Bisti and costume and fashion history expert Giordana Luchesa, a member of Corist (the coordination of Trentino historical reenactors). Following this, tea and pastries with Sissi at the Bar Suisse.
THURSDAY, MARCH 6
9:30 AM: Experience the "Habsburg Skiing," a costume ski day with the royal couple and court, accompanied by ski instructors.
FRIDAY, MARCH 7
7:00 PM: Experience the Emperor's Grand Ball, the traditional costume ball at the historic Salone Hofer, featuring musical entertainment and dancing.
TARIFF:
The experiences (tea with Sissi, Austrian ski, and the Grand Ball) have limited availability, are paid experiences, and require prior reservation.
