Grazia Toderi and Orhan Pamuk
Words and Stars
Words and Stars.
Mart presents the work of Grazia Toderi, one of the best international artists, and Orhan Pamuk, Nobel Prize for literature 2006.
Words and Stars is a project that was born in 2013, when the Nobel Prize Orhan Pamuk, fascinated by the work of Grazia Toderi, invites the artist to create a masterpiece for the Innocence Museum of Istanbul. The central point of the project is the humanity's wish to explore the space and the vocation to consult the stars. Presented for the first time at Mart, this work takes form in a trilogy, which is composed by a monologue, a dialogue and a conversation on the stars: three big multiscreen installations show pictures and texts. The exhibition is composed by two events: a work was made for the dome of the Turin's Planetarium and was presented in November 2016 and the other was placed in the Ancient Art Museum of Palazzo Madama.
