Gran Festa da d’Istà

41st edition of the traditional end-of-summer feast
The folk parade of the groups, representing all the Alpine communities united by the Ladin language, is another unmissable event taking place on the last day of the "Gran Festa da d’Istà", a festival which celebrates, with colours and musics, the end of the Fassa summer season. Three days, from 9th to 11th September, of Ladin traditions and culture, revived in the typical cuisine, events, musical performances and opportunities to learn more about them. Every day at the large tent in "Strèda de Parèda" in Canazei.

Always in conjunction with the parade of Sunday, the main streets of the village and some secondary streets will be closed to traffic from 2.50 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. During this time lapse the transit through Canazei, from and to the passes Sella, Pordoi and Fedaia will be forbidden.

• Friday, 9th September
  7.00 p.m. - Opening of the feast by the big tent in "Strèda de Parèda" with typical dinner and entertainment with DJ Dani
  8.30 p.m. - Entertainment with the music band "Oberkrainer Allstars"
  12.00 a.m. - Entertainment with DJ Dani
  1.00 a.m. - Closing of the feast

• Saturday, 10th September
  11.00 a.m. - Opening of the feast by the big tent in "Strèda de Parèda" and entertainment with DJ Dani
  12.00 p.m. - Opening of the kitchen
  2.30 p.m. - Closing of the feast
  7.00 p.m. - Opening of the feast and entertainment with DJ Dani
  8.00 p.m. - Entertainment with the music band "Innkreis Buam"
  12.00 a.m. - Entertainment with DJ Dani
  1.00 a.m. - Closing of the feast

• Sunday, 11th September
  10.00 a.m. - Holy Mass in the courtyard of the big tent
  11.00 a.m. - Opening of the tent with typical lunch
  11.00 a.m. - Aperitif with the music band "Innkreis Buam"
  3.00 p.m. - Parade along "Strèda Roma"
  4.30 p.m. - Folk groups’ exhibition
  7.00 p.m. - Entertainment with the music band "Die Goldrieder"
  11.00 p.m. - End of the "Gran Festa da d’Istà"
