BiFunk is an extraordinary group, born out of the idea of recreating the warmth and richness of metropolitan funk, mixed with the atmosphere of street jazz music. BiFunk is an explosive and versatile microcosm that lends itself well to more unusual situations where the music flows seamlessly from funk to jazz, then from blues to latin and soul. BiFunK’s music is music to listen to, watch and dance to. There’s no doubt about it, BiFunk certainly know how to have and give a good time, and they do so with a quality of sound and interaction that’s not easy to find in every band.
The band is made up of some of the most interesting musicians working in Trentino-Alto Adige and Triveneto, with some members having had important collaborations in the Jazz, Classical, and Pop world.
They formed “BiFunK” as a direct consequence of a series of projects which put them in action together in various combinations including the Tiger Dixie band, an award-winning street band in a number of competitions and already a must-see of its kind in Italy, the New Project Jazz Orchestra, one of the most interesting Italian jazz orchestras, Sax four fun, a quartet who have produced some extremely creative projects recently, and Latin Train, a group who despite their origins (almost all of the members are from AltoAdige) will transport you to the Caribbean with their authentic Caribbean sounds and rhythms.
