Francesco Moser - A man, a bicycle
Stories, anecdotes, exclusive archive photos and technical details of the bikes, revealed directly by Francesco Moser, who tells his story to the public in Canazei
With 273 victories between 1973 and 1988, he is still the Italian cyclist with the most victories around his neck and, according to the specialist website ProCyclingStats, the second most successful professional cyclist in the world. An innovator in the field of technology, he has personally designed his own bicycles since 1979, imagining new solutions and building quality frames with his team under the 'Moser' brand name. Born in 1951, the Trentino champion was the protagonist of a splendid era of world cycling, bringing his profound values on the road: sacrifice, loyalty, grit, and the enthusiasm to get involved and never settle. The stories, anecdotes, archive photos and technical details of the bicycles are contained in the book "Francesco Moser - Un uomo, una bicicletta" ("Francesco Moser - A man, a bicycle"), published by Azzurra Publishing, which Moser himself will present in the square in Canazei. Journalist Giorgio Pedron will moderate.
At 9.00 p.m.; free admission. In case of bad weather, the evening will be held in the Conference Hall of the "Marmolada" cinema theatre.
