Their hat is a symbol of solidarity and moral values but in Fassa it also recalls some important events related to the Great War which strongly marked the modern history of the valley. Sympathy and cordiality have always characterized the Alpini who spread the same feelings at their feast in Canazei nearby the roundabout along Strèda de Parèda road. The feast is organised by the local association of Alpini which includes more than 140 members (almost all alpini except some friends). The two-days event is an occasion for visitors to taste local specialties of the Ladin tradition accompanied by folk music entertainment.
