Extrordinary opening of L Segat
Discovery the wood processing by the sawmill in Meida, separate section of the Museo Ladin de Fascia
As part of the "Vaia, il valore della rinascita" initiative, organized by the Tourist Boards of Val di Fassa and Val di Fiemme from 28th to 31st October, Saturday 30th October it is possible to visit L Segat, the Meida sawmill, usually closed at this time of the year. It is one of the interesting detachet sections of the Museo Ladin de Fascia, dedicated to the forest and its supply chain. The exhibition focuses on local essences and on the main trades related to woodworking: lumberjack, sawmill and carpenter. Each profession is illustrated through texts, historical images, ethnographic objects, films and work tools.
Timetable: from 14.30 to 16.00.
Free admission.
For the occasion, the museum also hosts the exhibition "Through Vaia": the shots by middle and high school pupils from the valley tell the effects of the Vaia storm on the Fassa area.
