Paolo Megoli was born in Bologna on 14 August 1950 and is a well-known singer.
In 1968 he won the Castrocaro Festival, then recorded his first 45 rpm with the songs Arrivederci by Umberto Bindi and Per un bacio d'amore.
In 1969, he won over half a million 45s in Italy and abroad with the song Perché l'hai fatto, written with Mino Reitano.
