Edgar Moreau

Edgar Moreau was born in Paris in 1994. He started playing the cello at the age of four and now has a number of prestigious awards under his belt, including the prize for the “most promising competitor” at the 2009 Rostropovich Cello Competition and second prize at the 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition. 

For I Suoni delle Dolomiti 2023, the artist is taking a break from the world’s most prestigious concert halls to climb high altitudes and play on the green meadows beneath the majestic Brenta Dolomites. An unusual venue for Edgard Moreau, who is used to working with internationally renowned conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel, Valery Gergiev, Francois-Xavier Roth, Myung-Whun Chung and with world-famous orchestras, including Rome's Santa Cecilia Orchestra, the Filarmonica della Scala, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Saint-Petersburg Philharmonic and the Tokyo Metropolitan, to name just a few.  
 
His prestigious awards also include two Victoires de la Musique Classique (the “French Grammy”) in 2013 and 2015. He was nominated ECHO Rising Star in 2017.   

The program includes the performance of: Suites Bach N.1 and Sonata Kodaly.

How to get there
from Madonna di Campiglio
by car during the hours when this is permitted (book your place at the parking area here www.pnab.it) to reach the Rifugio Vallesinella mountain hut, before continuing along the Cascate Alte trail
