Since the 90’s the saxophonist Donny Mc Caslin has been one of the leading figures of jazz sax and received a nomination at the Grammy Awards for the best solo instrument in the song "Stadium Jazz" of the album "Casting For Gravity" in 2012. Its success has led to a new perspective in the acoustic-electronic jazz.
Following on from this achievement, Donny gathered the band again recording the new album "Fast Future" produced by another saxophonist, David Binney. Once again, their music beats with energy, groove and riff funky.
Mc Caslin’s music follows the footsteps of the electronic jazz of the 70’s splendor, keeping well in mind the example of Herbie Hancock and the Weather Report.
Recently, Donny Mc Caslin and his band took part in the last project by David Bowie in the album "Blackstar”.
For this tour, besides his usual fellow Jason Lindner, Mc Caslin may count on the presence of the Australian bass player Matt Clohesy and the drummer Nate Wood, member of the acclaimed band Kneebody.
