Dolomiti Ski Jazz - Kicca
The 25th edition of Dolomiti Ski Jazz arrives at Ciampedìe with a concert by Italian singer "Kicca"
From 4th to 12th March, the "jazz track" crosses the valleys of Fassa and Fiemme with concerts on the terraces of the refuges, in clubs, theatres and squares.
From Canazei to Cavalese, all the way to Cembra: the Dolomiti Ski Jazz, scheduled from 4th to 12th March, expands again this year offering as many as 25 concerts. Warm rhythms such as jazz, but also blues, funk and Latin music will create thrilling contrasts with the snow-covered scenery of the Dolomites. Artists from the international scene will perform in the evenings in the clubs and theatres of the villages, while during the day they will take to the mountains, on the terraces of the mountain huts, some of which can also be reached by non-skiers. The festival will move day after day from one slope to another, from the Belvedere ski area in Canazei to the Alpe Cermis in Cavalese.
Dolomiti Ski Jazz: Kicca. Ciampedìe - Vigo di Fassa (1998 m), Sunday 5 March at 12.00 p.m.
Programme: with a warm voice and an unsuspected palette of timbres, Kicca overflows with stage vitality. After five albums ("Bollente" - 2004, "Sssschh" - 2009, "Senso contrario" - 2011, "Kicca" - 2015 and "I can fly" - 2019), the Italian singer, who has been active in Paris for years, returns to Dolomiti Ski Jazz, presenting her new album "Call me Sugar" (Cristal Publishing/Inouïe Distribution). Without any concession to fashion, the feline Kicca embraces the styles that inspire her: jazz, soul and funky. Her secret weapon? Kicca hides a real diamond in her voice that she masters and lives with sensuality and power. Irresistible grooves, guitar rhythms and enveloping keyboards. Kicca, who composes all her songs with pianist and organist Oscar Marchioni, takes us by the hand, makes us dream and travel far away.
Music band: Kicca (vocals), Oscar Marchioni (keyboards), Nicola Tamiozzo (guitar), Filippo Rinaldi (bass), Alessandro Lupatin (drums).
The concert is free of charge. The event location can also be reached by non-skiers. The ticket for the ski lifts (cable car or chairlift) is charged to participants. The ski pass is valid.
