Dvořák Down the Rabbit Hole is a new way to experience the rich world of possibilities of a string quartet. Like Alice in Wonderland, the audience falls down the rabbit hole and begins a wonderful and fantastic journey through Antonín Dvořák's famous “American” quartet.
Music evolves from movement to movement, thus passing through four completely different atmospheres and experiences. In the first movement, "Falling down the Rabbit Hole", the original quartet is fragmented by passages from Dvořák's New World Symphony.
After this joyous explosion of sound, the listener is invited into a more meditative state.
Birds and nature inhabit the Scherzo Forest, here the performers lose themselves in folkloric melodies. Finally, the string quartet transforms into a whirlpool of different sensations: a fiesta, a monastery, a jazzclub and a Disney cartoon, leading up to the grand finale of Dvořák's masterpiece.
