Alpine Skiing European Cup - Men Giant Slalom
On December 17 and 18, two day of competitions on the slope Aloch in Pozza di Fassa
The Ski Stadium Aloch in Pozza di Fassa, crown jewel of skiing in Trentino will host important competitions during the winter. Spotlight on Monday, 17th and Tuesday, 18th December for the "Memorial Elke Pastore", two giant slalom races, valid for the European Cup and as test-event for the Alpine Skiing Junior World Championships.
The best future top athletes will compete to conquer the podium, eager to reach the top ranking of the continental championship. The athletes will have to demonstrate their skill and training on the difficult track of the black slope in Pozza that confirms to be the ideal theatre for international competitions, thanks to its altitude gap and incline.
Since 2006, the Ski Stadium Aloch has been the training center of the Italian Ski Team and it has also hosts teams like USA, Sweden, Finland, Slovenia, Slovakia and Germany.
On occasion of the Alpine Skiing Junior World Championships, scheduled from 18th to 27th February 2019, the slopes Aloch and La VolatA (San Pellegrino Pass) will be the race camp for 500 athletes from 50 countries.
