A friendly hut in the Belvedere ski area (Canazei), which in summer is surrounded by the flower-filled Pecol meadows. From the large terrace you can enjoy magnificent views of Sassolungo, Piz Ciavazes and Sass Pordoi as well as the entire upper Val di Fassa. During the winter season the refuge is a meeting point - with music and fun - for the many skiers who come up from the Valle di Fassa and ski the Sella Ronda. Inside, there’s a self-service restaurant as well as a “grill stube” for fans of meat dishes. Open: From 20 June to 20 September Before leaving for your hike, always contact the manager to verify the actual opening of the mountain hut Walks An easy walk of less than an hour, with only a 200 metre height gain, takes you to Passo Pordoi where you can take the cable car up to Sass Pordoi then continue on foot to Cima Piz Boè (2 hours, difficulty E, EE). Also in 2 hours you can get to the Rifugio Fredarola (Col de Cuch) then continue along the easy, ancient Viel dal Pan path to Passo Padon, 2,500 m, and from there descend to Passo Fedaia.

Drive along the Strada delle Dolomites road (SS48) in the direction of Passo Pordoi as far as Pecol, and from there it’s a short walk (10 minutes, difficulty T) In winter, get there straight off the Belvedere ski slopes.
