Nature encounters on alpine skis

5 itineraries to discover the most scenic mountain peaks

Away from crowded slopes, noisy resorts and the jostling queues for chairlifts: this is alpine skiers’ mecca. In Trentino, the oldest and most classic of all the alpine disciplines has the perfect playground to experience every emotion: first, climb the mountain, step by step, taking it all in - the sweeping views and the natural elements, then ski downhill feeling the adrenaline rush as you freeride on fresh powdery snow.

It is more than a sport, it’s a life style: alpine skiers know that to fully appreciate the downhill, first you need to conquer the climb. This is a sport that requires a certain level of caution and experience: it is always recommended to follow an alpine guide and carry safety equipment, such as an avalanche transceiver, probe and shovel.

We have selected 5 routes, suitable for all levels, renowned for the spectacular panoramas that can be admired at their summit.

Monte Sole: panoramic tour in Val di Rabbi

This alpine ski course is a relatively easy one with a vertical drop of less than a thousand metres. It’s a popular tour amongst alpine skiers and regarded as one of the safest thanks to its moderate gradients. Almost all of the route is shared with the nearby, but more elevated, Monte Villar run.
