In case of rain | Casa Degli Artisti Giacomo Vittone
Italian trombone talent Filippo Vignato and French piano sensation Enzo Carniel started playing as a duo in their early student years at the prestigious CNSM of Paris. Through their works as leaders and as sight-forward sidemen, they quickly became compelling voices of the European jazz young generation, gaining national and international attention in the last few years. Strongly connected by similar musical taste and sensitivity, Silent Room is the space they created to share with the world what music and freedom mean to them both.
Filippo Vignato is an italian trombonist, composer and improviser active in the fields of jazz and improvised music, embracing contemporary music, avantgarde jazz and world music. His musical journey started early. Through years of studying, performing and travelling across Europe, he has developed a clear musical vision, without boundaries between genres and where the ritual process of improvisation touches the listener.
Enzo Carniel is a French pianist. He began studying classical piano and discovered jazz during adolescence. After 5 years of Medicine Studies in Marseille, he decided to devote himself entirely to Jazz music. He joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique Paris (CNSMDP) in 2010 where we graduated summa cum laude In June 2015. His research and all his collaborations give rise to the quartet "House of Echo" where long improvised pieces and compositions are mixed. Influenced by Paul Bley, Thelonious Monk, Keith Jarrett, and the great jazz pianists, he tries to explore the palettes and intrinsic possibilities of the piano.
