Walk in the "Bosco che Suona" (The sounding forest)
The discovery of red spruces, which are very famous for violin making.
Currently the "Bosco che Suona" is involved in a restoration project. The damage suffered following the Vaia storm of October 2018 has transformed this place. For this reason you will still find vehicles and lumberjacks at work. Some tables are still to be repositioned. This summer, although open and accessible, it does not appear in all its splendor. We are working to make it an enchanting oasis of peace and music again.
The "pillars" of this temple of open-air music are the spruces, appreciated by Stradivari and other great master luthiers such as Guarneri and Amati. This forest, in summer, welcomes a musical ritual, created by Claudio Delvai. Here, internationally renowned musicians, who participate in the music festival "I Suoni delle Dolomiti", are called to choose a fir tree. It is the gift of the Val di Fiemme to those who spread sublime melodies in the world, with instruments that could have been born in its forests, so welcoming and well-kept thanks to the management of the millennial Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme.
