27 - Monte Maggio
Monte Maggio the peack of Italy. Here till 1918 there was the Austrian boarder, at 1853 meters up.
The peak overlooking the valley of Vicenza and the plain that backs onto Venice. A big cross on the summit to remember Italians and Austrians who died during the First World War.

There are many reasons to reach the summit. First of all the beauty of the places, the views and the historical signs. It is one of the easiest and beautiful hiking of Alpe Cimbra, from where you could see Valle di Terragnolo and the Pasubio mountain. On a clear day you could see the reflection of the sun in the Venice lagoon.
