Manuel Randi & Alex Trebo
The 26th edition of Dolomiti Ski Jazz descends from the huts on the slopes to the Ladin Museum for a concert by South Tyrolean talents Manuel Randi and Alex Trebo
From 8th to 17th March, the "jazz track" crosses the valleys of Fassa and Fiemme with concerts on the terraces of the refuges, in clubs, theatres and squares.
From Canazei to Cavalese, all the way to Cembra: the Dolomiti Ski Jazz proposes also this year as many as 24 concerts. Warm rhythms such as jazz, but also blues, funk and Latin music will create thrilling contrasts with the snow-covered scenery of the Dolomites. Artists from the international scene will perform in the evenings in the clubs and theatres of the villages, while during the day they will take to the mountains, on the terraces of the mountain huts, some of which can also be reached by non-skiers. The festival will move day after day from one slope to another, from the Belvedere ski area in Canazei to the Alpe Cermis in Cavalese.
Dolomiti Ski Jazz: Manuel Randi and Alex Trebo. Ladin Museum of Fassa (Vigo di Fassa), Friday 15 March at 6pm
Programme: the musical atmospheres evoked by the duo express freshness and vitality at their best. The pieces range from jazz to bossa nova, from Italian swing to contemplative-cinematic pieces, from Bachian atmospheres to African reminiscences. Everything is characterised by the joy of musical storytelling and the acrobatic instrumental excursions of the two virtuoso talents from South Tyrol.
Music band: Manuel Randi (acoustic guitar), Alex Trebo (piano).
The concert is free of charge. The museum can be reached by car.
On the occasion of the Dolomiti Ski Jazz concert, you can take part in a free guided tour of the museum at 5 p.m. Reservation by telephone on +39 0462 760182 or by email at museo@istladin.net .
